The splint and the exercises and the rest and the using my left hand more often (hey, now!) are finally beginning to pay off. Last night I was able to draw a full page of Wanderlost without any pain. I'm still taking it easy, so the page won't appear until tomorrow. But it will be in full color.

And in the spirit of going easy on my hand, I will be posting one In Contempt strip on Thursdays for the next month. If the wrist and hand continue to improve, I'll start doing Tuesday installments, too. But I'm not going to push it. I'd rather cartoon gradually throughout my life than, well, not at all.

Don't worry, this took two minutes with a Sharpie. Otherwise I am typing left-handed, scanning, all the rest of it. The right hand is laying back on a beach in the Mediterranean, sipping a tall, cool drink and thinking about snorkling topless. (That's right, my hand has boobs.)

Damn, damn, damn this getting old bullshit.

My right arm and hand are numb. I can still use them, but  I need to rest them. Jenn recommends 24 hour rest and regular use of ibuprofen to reduce swelling. If things don't improve by Monday, I'll go see the doc. Groan.

At my work computer I am typing and mousing with my left hand. This significantly slows me down.

So once again, no little piggy on Monday. I may do a quick sketch of Sheldon with a throbbing right arm, just to have something there.
