Yeah, I like that he can still recognize that - as King Missile once said - "Jesus Was Way Cool."
That's pretty great. Whenever I run across something like this I'm always waiting for the ear-bending "ANYBODY WITH ANY ASSOCIATION TO CHRISTIANITY IS A @#(*&^@# AND I AM SO MUCH COOLER FOR NOT GIVING A SHIT ABOUT ANYTHING BUT MYSELF" spew, but as a non-literalist, agnostic, overeducated secular humanist queer who nonetheless attaches a lot of personal meaning to the Christ story and the mission of the liberal church, I appreciated and enjoyed this take.
