Thanks!
Where are you working these days? Truck dispatch? What kind of hours are those? And do you feel more in touch with your blue collar roots? :-)

It's a metal-fabrication factory. I help with their paperwork and accounting, etc. Naturally there's a lot of trucking back and forth of heavy objects which means an ever-escalating amount of money spent on fuel.
Ironically I suppose it is closer to blue collar workers than my old Union job was, despite it not being Union. We have a "uniform" (just a work shirt, really, that I throw on over whatever I'm already wearing) that's made of blue cloth, though. FWIW. I work regular office hours, unlike the factory and field people, who usually get in during the small hours of the morning and leave in mid-afternoon.
Heh. [applause]
At work, we just got this sunny-bright electric yellow memo from one of the big fuel companies the other day. In it, they go on in great detail about scarcity and access and blah blah blah and by the way you're totally fucked. Have a nice day. Get ready to pass thousands more in costs on to your customers and wait twice as long to be paid, but don't so much as THINK about paying us a week late or no more fuel for your trucks, Suckers.
The irony is that my overlords have as much reason as anyone to be out on the streets protesting, but...
