As I speculated last week, today is, alas, another Sheldon-less Monday.

My apologies to the teeming millions who cannot get through the beginning of the work week without their Monday dose of coffee and Sheldon. Next Monday looks much brighter, however. Sure I have a giant project due for collection development next Monday, but, hey, I can always steal away to draw a panel or two when I get fried from scanning reading lists.

Three more class weekends left. Discounting the Capstone course, I have only one class to go before I graduate: YA lit!

Just don't ask about my job prospects right now. Eek.

Today's NY Times reports the political strains on Sen. Barak Obama's relationship with his pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. Put in Batman TV show terms: Will the pastor's so-called radical politics undermine the Senator's political ambitions? Will religious white Americans reject Obama based on the black liberationist theology of his church, his own doubts about Christian spirituality, or his secular/quasi-Muslim upbringing? Can Obama's reputation as Mr. Reasonable survive the stereotypes of 60's-style black radicalism?
