Heppy Heppy Librury Weeg

The American Library Association has honored Laura Bush for her service to libraries. They gave her two children's books, recent winners fo the Newberry and Caldecott medals. If it were up to me (and, sigh, it so rarely is), I would have presented her with, mmmmm, say, a frikkin' clue.

Yeah, I know, like hitting a kitten. It's not her fault that her husband undermines all those lofty principles of intellectual freedom and the public's right to access information, although he'll fob off plenty of disinformation. Got a big truckload out back. Just go 'round back, by the pop machine there. That's right. See it? Now hold still. Bam!
