Just last week Hunter S. Thompson was trying to get Bill Murray (who played Thompson in Where the Buffalo Roam many years ago) to reinvent golf.

Seven days later Thompson is dead by his own hand.

The family is not releasing details in respect for Thompson's privacy. Yet I can't help speculate: cancer?
