Whenever I check my email via Comcast's webmail page, I am always greeted by one of two news teasers that cycle through the site's XML: "Stunning New Footage" of the tsunami disaster and "Just Friends?", gossipy speculations arising from the divorce of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. The tragic is made trivial and the trivial is made tragic.
